The Little People are the inhabitants of Bonsai Trees. Their culture is very similar to that of Eastern Asian Humans.
They use lantern shaped blimps for travel to distant lands. At night the Bonsai becomes like a christmas tree full of small lights.

This work was done for the December Gnomon Workshop Challenge. The briefing was "Tree house in winter".

I bought a Bonsai to make this work. The painting was done over photography, and a model I made directly in the Bonsai tree.
